Terms of Use

1. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your password secret and be responsible for activity under your account. ZIV is for all ages from 5; if you are under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and supervise your use.

2. What ZIV offers

ZIV is a language-learning tool: saving words, translations and explanations, reading, training and games. Many features use AI, so translations, definitions and examples can be wrong or incomplete. Check important information yourself; ZIV is not a substitute for professional translation or teaching.

3. Acceptable use

• Don’t break the law or the rights of others, and don’t upload content you have no right to use. Book pages you scan are for your own personal study.
• Don’t attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or try to access other people’s accounts or data.
• Don’t use ZIV to create abusive, hateful or harmful content.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add. You give us the limited permission needed to store it, process it (including sending it to the AI and translation providers described in the Privacy Policy) and show it back to you across your devices and connected assistants.

5. Connected assistants

You may connect ZIV to AI assistants. You are responsible for what you ask them to do, and the assistant’s company is responsible for its own service. You can disconnect at any time.

6. Plans and payments

Some features may be offered in paid plans. Prices and billing terms are shown before you buy. Payments for the iOS app are handled by Apple and follow Apple’s rules for subscriptions and refunds.

7. Availability and changes

We try to keep ZIV available, but we do not promise it will always work without interruption. We may change, limit or discontinue features, and we will try to give notice of significant changes.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using ZIV and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

9. Disclaimer and liability

ZIV is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits arising from your use of ZIV. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If you keep using ZIV after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. We will change the date above and tell you about material changes.
