ZIV

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

ZIV helps people learn English by reading real texts and saving the words they meet. This policy explains what data the ZIV app (iOS), the website at ziv-tutor.app and the ZIV connector for AI assistants collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

2. How we use it

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who processes data for us

We use trusted service providers who process data only to deliver their service to us:

4. AI assistants and the ZIV connector

If you connect ZIV to an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse or another), you sign in with your ZIV account and allow it to add words to your list. The connector only adds words; it cannot read, edit or delete your other data. The assistant’s company handles what you tell the assistant under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time in the assistant’s settings. The connector is meant for people who meet the AI assistant’s own minimum age (for example, 13+ for ChatGPT and 18+ for Claude); it is not directed at children.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can edit or delete words and content in the app. When you delete your account, or ask us to by emailing support@ziv-tutor.app, we permanently delete it and the data linked to it within 30 days, except for what we must keep to meet legal obligations. Backups and logs are removed on their normal schedule.

6. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact support@ziv-tutor.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children and families

ZIV is made for learners of all ages, from 5 years old. Children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in their country, which may be up to 16) may use ZIV only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who should create or approve the account. We collect only the data needed to run the app and never use children’s data for advertising. A parent or guardian can ask us at support@ziv-tutor.app to see or delete a child’s data at any time.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. We rely on appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email.
